Kelly Jayne Poulter
Flair Dance Studio founder and Principal, Kelly Jayne Poulter has been dancing since the age of 6 and is a former British Freestyle champion, winning a trip to New York at the age of 18 to train at The Broadway Dance Centre. Trained in Freestyle, Ballet and Latin dance throughout her childhood, Kelly earned a place at the esteemed BRIT School of Performing Arts in London, where she studied A-level dance and performing arts. Kelly opened Flair Dance Studio in 1996 and has since trained many dancers to go on to achieve professional careers in dance. The school is home to European Champions and has a 100% Exam pass rate.
Development and recognition
Since 1996, Flair Dance Studio has taught many children the art of dance and a number of Kelly’s former pupils now teach alongside her. This has enabled us to expand over the last few years and provide more classes at more locations.
In 2004 and again in 2012, Kelly was recognised for her consistently outstanding work and was awarded the Young Professional of the Year award by the Association of Dance Freestyle Professionals. Kelly has recently been nominated for a prestigious Le Classique De Dance award for Freestyle Professional of the Year alongside two of her pupils.

The experienced teaching team at Flair Dance Studio feel very privileged that they are able to do a job they’re all so passionate about. To be able to teach children the skills that they have learnt and watch them progress and improve is what drives the team to provide high-quality dance lessons that pupils enjoy.
